From December 13th, 2018 Google has started to replace a number of old Google Search Console reports with newer versions offering updated services.
The most prominent of these is the replacement of the Search Analytics report with the new Performance Report.
Google sent notices from December 7th, 2018 onwards to alert users to the fact that this would be happening. Users were instructed to direct their links to the new hyperlinks contained in the notice.
The reports being replaced with newer versions include:
- Search Analytics
- Links to Your Site
- Internal Links
- Manual Actions
- Mobile Usability
- Index Status
Although users expect the Sitemaps report and the Crawl Errors report to also be shut down, there is no date yet from Google to confirm when this will be happening.
Users have further questions including how easy to use and navigate the new Search Console will be, and what is going to happen with all of the other outdated reports in the console.
One thing is certain, users will have to get used to a whole new way of doing things again.
